Turning a DNA report into something you understand
A dog DNA report arrives as a PDF full of percentages, locus names and acronyms. The information is real; the presentation is designed for people who already speak the language.
Breed percentages are estimates from reference panels
A breed percentage is the lab’s best match of your dog’s markers against its reference population. Two labs can disagree, especially on village-dog and landrace ancestry, and neither is lying.
We reproduce percentages exactly as reported. We do not round them, blend results from different providers, or quietly "improve" a total that does not reach 100.
Traits, carriers and health markers
Coat and size markers are usually straightforward and fun. Health markers are not: Clear, Carrier and At Risk mean specific things about inheritance that are easy to misread.
We show health markers verbatim with the note that interpretation belongs with a veterinarian. We never predict outcomes, and we never generate health claims that are not in the report.
Verification before anything becomes fact
Upload a PDF, CSV or JSON export and the parser extracts what it can. Nothing extracted is treated as true until you have checked each row against the original document and confirmed it.
Only then does a value earn the Verified badge — and only verified values are used to write the genetic story.
