What we collect
Your account details (name, email), the pet information you choose to enter (profiles, photos, documents, observations, memories), technical data needed to run the service (session records, hashed IP addresses for abuse prevention), and — with your consent — first-party product analytics.
How we use it
To provide the product: storing your pet’s archive, generating the stories and insights you request, sending the notifications you enable, and processing payments through our payment provider. AI features receive only the minimum context required for each generation, and your data is never used to train AI models.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Contract performance for the core service; consent for marketing, analytics and AI processing (each individually revocable in Settings → Privacy); legitimate interest for security and fraud prevention; legal obligation for payment records.
Your rights
Access and portability: request a complete export in Settings → Privacy. Rectification: edit anything at any time. Erasure: delete individual items, pets, or your entire account — deletion runs after a 14-day grace period and removes database records and stored media. Payment records are retained as legally required, detached from personal data. To exercise any right or contact our data protection contact, use the support form.
Sharing
Pet profiles are private by default. Public profiles show only the sections you explicitly enable. We do not sell personal data. Processors we use (hosting, storage, email, payments, AI inference) are bound by data processing agreements.
Retention & security
Data is kept while your account exists. Passwords are hashed with scrypt; session tokens are stored only as hashes; documents are served through time-limited signed URLs. Backups follow the retention documented in our operations runbook.
